the Shaded Gardens of Bucharest

Entry Description

The Shaded Gardens of Bucharest Everywhere in Bucharest trees align the streets. In the many large and small parks the fresh and shadowed areas bring families and strangers together, children play near the fountains, mothers feed their babies, a grandmother reads a book for her grandson, a woman sits knitting, an old man sleeps. Everywhere are playing children. The harshness, the summer heat and the chaos of the city just around the corner, seem faraway when one enters the city's shaded gardens. There is some kind of magic in these places where we can breath fresh air, revel in beauty, unexpectedly.
