The wild coastal lands of Baja California Sur are rapidly disappearing. As development, advances northward from Los Cabos on both sides of the peninsular it threatens to disrupt the human and ecological balance of the region. The Marco (frame) Project invites people to participate in the documentation of the landscape by framing a favorite view. The intent of the project is to raise consciousness. The act of "capturing" the landscape in a gold frame creates a new context for viewing the landscape, one that memorializes it and acknowledges the fragility of the moment.
