    Luminance of infrared + color

Mix luminosity and color channels of infrared and normal photos of the same object. In university we traveled to Civitella d’Agliano to focus on new creative projects. I tried to get a better understanding of infrared photography and I was looking for a new way to process infrared images.  A friend came up with the idea to combine the luminosity channel from the infrared- with the color channel of the regular image. I just have to shoot an additional color image. So simple - so brilliant.  The picture you see is a 85MP infrared-color-panorama of the city Civitella d’Agliano in Italy.  The clouds and the leaves were moving because of the wind, so the colors are not matching at the moving areas because the color photo was taken seconds after the infrared one. I was trying to fix this because this was an issue at the beginning, but I found that it adds an interesting approach of movement into the picture.
