The ceiling in the Rose Main Reading Room, in the New York Public Library recently underwent a renovation after a decorative piece broke off and fell to the floor. A massive scaffolding was constructed filling the massive room. in this photograph the majority of scaffolding had already been taken down. Rarely do you ever get to see such an iconic room devoid of any people. Shot for Architectural Digest.
