Shukaku, Tokoname, Japan, 2017
My journey into photography began in 2008, but it wasn't until 2010 that I became serious about my craft and discovered long exposure and fine art photography. There are many elements that are important to me in producing an image; a certain level of detail is paramount. I am sensitive to the texture found in the common objects and landscapes that I shoot. Additionally, I enjoy symmetry and I am constantly on the lookout for uncluttered compositions. Most importantly though is light; I prefer to shoot in poor conditions, on overcast days and in near darkness.
