'Dusha' is the Russian word for 'soul'. Rich with romance and quietude, series is a glimpse into the Russian soul on the example of my mother and her inner world. Using photography as the means of portraying her individuality, the process became like a therapy for both of us. Purifying experience that imbues her with a sense of serenity and power. My mom is a rare, incredible woman with her own unconquerable romanticism and heightened sensitivity of perception. By giving her all to the family, she can't find balance between her creative nature and everyday reality. This series is like bridge into the space of her creative origin - bizarre, fascinating, dreamy. She is the soul of our family and pure embodiment of the term of the mystifying Russian soul. She is the epitome of compassion and kindness, pursuit of justice, openness to the world and thirst for knowledge.
