The fifteenth of the first lunar month every year in west Kalimantan of Indonesia, a city, populated mostly with Chinese immigrants, would hold a consecutive 3-day worshipping ritual. All the god mediums, main gods in major temples, Shamans, and the local traditional and religious followers would gather in the largest temples of the city center , similar to the Shrine of the Great Earth God, to pay their homage. In the ritual, the god mediums, shamans, wizards or the psychics would use the animal dead bodies or stands on the god’s palankeen framed by sharp knives and spears and even chop, or chop their bodies to show the descending of the spirits on them. Moreover, they would proceed worshipping rite after being guided by the incense smoke to the main hall of the temple.
