This portrait forms part of a long-term series on neighbourhoods and how people find a way to live alongside each other. Glen lives in a large block of council flats and supplements his income by fixing and selling old bicycles that have been thrown out. He lives quietly and alone. He was hit by a car a few years ago and was seriously injured. He is proud of his recovery and his health and particularly proud of never having touched drugs in a neighbourhood where drug use is commonplace. His neighbour identified him as the person most likely to help out if there was a problem and as 'the only person who would care'.
