Entry Description

Colourful flowers and insects in focus taken from different gardens inside the Quezon Memorial Circle (QMC) in Quezon City, Philippines. All images in the series were taken with natural light while each image was photographed in different days of visit to the park. Composed with individual distinction and title such as: 1. Romance, 2. Hidden Beauty, 3. Lotus in Focus, 4. Vertical Horizon, and 5. The Glowing Worm. Other intent of presenting these images as a collection is to promote appreciation and awareness about the colourful beauty of nature that can be seen or rediscovered by any travellers in this national park.

About Photographer

An award-winning Filipino product / graphic designer and part-time senior lecturer in design school with a passion for photography. A graduate of Bachelor of Fine Arts major in Industrial Design at the University of Santo Tomas under the Design Center of the Philippines Scholarship Award (and has earned units in Master of Fine Arts). Former Industrial Design Specialist at the Design Center of the Philippines and currently working as private consultant for product design and development. Has traveled in many regions, districts and cities in the Philippines conducting design seminars and consultancies for many years; and attended different international design expositions, consultancies and product/market studies in different parts of Europe, Asia and Australia. Photography became his passion not just simply to keep the fire burning of creativity during free time, but a zeal for aesthetic expression and an extension of medium for his research and practice in design and visual communication. Current interest: Fine art, nature and travel photography. Fine Art Photographer of the Year (Non-Professional), 2017 IPA-PH.
