I took this shot by the Pacific Ocean, by Stinson Beach, very early in the morning. I have always been drawn to the quiet of the morning, especially by the ocean. That is also the time when seagulls are patiently waiting for their morning meal to be ushered in with the tide, close to the shore. I was fond of the ephemeral patterns that the waves had drawn on the shore while these two birds were just standing in the water, seemingly motionless, waiting.
