Despite our car being packed too its capacity Miles insisted on bringing his Saxophone. After a long day hike we were driving back to our campsite and I had to pull the car over to take in the magnificent Utah sunset. Miles got out his saxophone and played to the mountains. The sound reverberated against the sandstone, mixed with the golden light and filled the desert with a sublime ambience. The harmony in this photo is not just between Miles and the desert but between photographer and subject. Even though we were working with different mediums this image shows we were both creating art together.
