It was November 2018 when I, as a traveller from Hong Kong having visited Paris. At that time, the Yellow Vests Protest had began already and instead of being chaotic, witnessing The Avenue des Champs-Élysées during weekdays were just peaceful as usual. I rather felt the sense of anger of the French revealed on the luxurious shops’ windows only. The photo series portraying the beauty of cracks on the windows, implying the tension, furiousness but disposition that a protest should be; It was inspiring to the citizens in my country on how to strive for democracy after the Umbrella Movement.
