When asked about the transformative nature of the dark night of the soul, Thomas Moore said: "Beauty nurtures the soul by serving the spirit. Beauty takes you out of your cramped, merely personal worries and sets you down in a field of eternity.” I seek to capture that momentary essence in which a thing’s nature is deeply revealed; the ever changing textures, colors, light and shadow reflected in moments both fluid and static. Still images contain the suggestion of movement and depth, inviting reflection on the ebb and flow of one’s internal world mirroring the natural tides of life.
