CAROLINA South Africa 2010 Carolina is a typical small town in Mpumalanga, South Africa. Most people in this area are farmers. The Uys’s farm has been in the family almost since the Huguenots arrival in the country, and has been passed on from generation to generation. The family are Boers from Dutch and French ancestors. Exploitation increases year by year. They farm with cattle and horses, but a big part of the farm is left uncultivated. They are also offering jobs to the Zulu community. It is hard work. The community is still strongly conservative. www.guillandphotography.com
