Diamond Beach is located on the southern coast of Iceland. It is a beach attached to the famous Jökulsárlón glacier. When the tide recedes, huge icebergs make their way out of the glacial lagoon and into the open ocean. At high tide, the icebergs get pushed up on the volcanic black sand beach, where they shine in the sun. This is the only place on Earth where icebergs can be viewed up close on a black sand beach.
