These documentary images are about the last days of the stilt houses hanged on the riverbank of Midori-gawa(Green River) in Taichung, Taiwan. Located between the river and the railway, the stilt houses were built in 1954 for the refugees from China. Due to the bad environment, this peculiar urban village became the slum and was gradually abandoned. Finally, the stilt houses were demolished by the government during 2010~2011, for the construction of elevated railway.
