Cristina Mastrandrea is a freelance documentary based in Rome. She was born in Ivrea, she studied Political Science at Turin University with a specialization in Sociology of Communication. On 2011 she degreed on Photojurnalism Master Course at ISFCI in Rome. She made her first project in the Middle East about young palestinian rapper, meanwhile she followed the indignados protests israeli mouvement in TelAviv. In Italy she has been working on economic crisis, labor condition and environmental problem projects. Her long term committment project is concentrate on the Middle East women world and their role in a changing society. Last important work is the story of AMINA TYLER the first tunisian woman that posted topless images on Facebook to protest against islamic moral and that has been threatened of death by islamic Iman and now is in jail for her protest. She collaborate with articles on Repubblica newspaper and web. She published on Vanity Fair, GIOIA Hearst, Huffington Post UK, Jesus, Donna Moderna, F, and other several magazines. She collaborate with RAI News 24 for Amina Tyler case, with correspondances from Tunis, video production and interviews.
