«Palestine, how?» explores an issue at the heart of the conflict betweenIsrael and Palestine : land. From Jewish colonies to Palestinian territories that are either unacknowledged, destroyed or have been confiscated, « Palestine,how?» sketches a topographical survey of a torn land, wanted by two nations. The project documents aspects of a territorial partition often imposed by force that has made it impossible for Israelis and Palestinians to live together. «Palestine, how?» is inspired namely by pedagogical initiatives developed by Israeli NGOs in order to establish a necessary acknowledgement of the other side and to restore a shared and painful historical truth. The project encourages viewers to reflect upon the complexity of the conflicbetween Israelis and Palestinians, beyond religious and political differences. It aims to raise awareness about the need to work together on shared history and memory and towards understanding the other side, as an essential condition for the peace process. This series is part of an installation that has yet to be shown, made of large format posters and short films based on photo reports - called PetitesOeuvres Multimédia (POM – in English, small multimedia pieces). «Palestine, how?» immerses the viewer in a transversal and sensorial course that reveals the tensions created by reality in the field.And on the land.
