On a cloudy day in July I was carefully moving through the mud, examining these beautiful tiny plants. For an extended period of time I couldn’t find anything else than a few decomposed insects in sticky mucilage. Quite sloppy impressions. I was really surprised when I noticed that the sun suddenly appeared and I was staring at this minuscule fly, vivid and fiercely fighting for its life, with legs attached to the glue. Photo taken at National Park "de Hoge Veluwe" / the Netherlands.
