This photo was taken in Deadvlei ( the marsh death ) in the Namib Desert in Namibia. This area is surrounded by the highest sand dunes in the world. The trunks of dead trees, which are estimated at over 900 years old, are now black because the intense sun burned them, and their wood is too dry, so they will not broken.
