Islam is a misunderstood religion. Muslims following their faith, such as praying five times a day, are often portrayed as a threat to the Western society. However, Muslims are no different from people practicing other religions. Hasan is a young man from Iraq, he is often judged for his faith and living in the Western world is a struggle to prove people wrong about the nature of Islam. He is a devoted Muslim; praying five times a day, going to Friday prayers, fasting for Ramadan, reading the Qu’ran, looking forward to going to Mecca. But this does not mean he is an extremist. His faith is strong, not extreme.

Story

Islam is a misunderstood religion. Muslims following their faith, such as praying five times a day, are often portrayed as a threat to the Western society. However, Muslims are no different from people practicing other religions. While Muslims go to Friday prayer, Christians go to Sunday Church. While Muslims pray five times a day, Buddhists meditate. While Muslims fast for Ramadan, Mormons fast on the first Sunday of every month. While Muslims practice their religion, the rest of the world practices their religion or engages in their own kind of spirituality. Yet, Muslims are often misunderstood and a Muslim that follows the five pillars of Islam raises fear in the Western Society. The world must not condemn a religion for the actions of a few.
