In Fallen Frukt, the painterly photographic works of the female body juxtaposed with falling fruits and dripping milk, I intended to explore eroticism and suspended desire. My project is a celebration of both the romantic sublime (especially found in Renaissance paintings) and slick, digital advertisement. Symbolism is essential to the work: the juicy fruits and silky beds are portraying the paradox in temptation and desire. The images may be glamorous, but there is something lurking beneath the surface. Concepts such as voyeurism (peeping tom) and scopophilia (love of looking) are quiet undertones. This work is a visual remembrance to the fetishism of the photograph.
