This picture is taken in Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary, which looks after rescued orphaned baby orang utans, train them for survival and release them into the wild. Every day, the sanctuary would provide food for these young orang utans, and it also became a tourist attraction. It was drizzling in the sanctuary when this young orang utan took an umbrella from a tourist, ripped it apart and used only the canvas as his own shelter from the rain. It seems as if he understood what am umbrella is meant for, and adapted it for his own application.
