Entry Description

The Carerra quarries in Tuscany have provided everyone from the Romans to Michelangelo with their marble. People, for thousands of years, have been drawn to the purity of the stone and the transportation advantages because of the proximity to the ocean. The quarries in this area have been the property of the same group of families for hundred of years.
