COLLECTION / interior of a private house in Belgium. The owner used to play pingpong a lot. / More people than ever reach the age of 90‘ in Europe. That fact not only changes the structure of the society and brings economic problems. It brings new personal challenges like living through different era and staying up to date with the changing world. Life equals collecting. The longer we live the larger our personal collection of objects, experiences, emotions and memories gets. They fill both our houses and our heads. How do we cope with them? Which of the objects we decide to keep and why? What periods of life do they come from and with whom are they associated?Which memories stay clear in our minds and which ones dissolve and become less accessible? The objects and memories that we keep may differ nowadays but the act of collecting through your long life stays. It is an attempt to track the remaining of the life of one person. This particularly well stored collection gives us in a way the access to her life. Nevertheless this long life was as unique as the life of each one of us.
