Some years ago, the housing project where Hattie's family had lived for several generations, was slated for demolition by the city planners. To memorialize here lost home and community, Hattie wanted to learn to play the harp and to do a swan song performance on the roof of the building where they once lived. Sadly the place was demolished before she could fulfill her dream - and what was once her neighborhood, is now a vast empty lot with a big rotting sign that says "AVAILABLE."
