Karamojong people live in North West Uganda bordering with Kenya and Sudan. Climate Change has greatly affected the arid savannas increasing cattle raids with the neighboring tribes. This is one of the poorest areas on the planet with livestock serving as currency as well as a key element for sustenance. As a pastoral, herding culture, homesteads are built in a circular fashion with the corral at the center. It’s the work of the village women to make their thatched roof homes with its protective fence of young entwined branches. It takes the women 3-4 days to complete each home
