In this series of architectural abstractions I focus on various elements such as volume, plane, tone, line, rhythm, space, etc., rather than literal depictions of the subject. I also employ long exposure technique so that the tones in the sky, rather than become flat, empty space, can become part of the compositional movement and continue to lead the viewer’s eye with subtlety that unifies with the lines and movement of the subject. This series is also a new visualization of my home city, Phoenix, Arizona, which is typically known for its desert scenery rather than architecture.
