I use photography to document the performative actions I enact on my body constricting and enlarging to manipulate the representation of the flesh. I use myself to show the body sculpturally. It is an exploration of the flesh as an object without losing sight of the body. Engaging with the flesh further accentuates the fetishization of the large body, which is even more prominent when viewed at scale. I’m interested in disrupting the ideas of the excessive and the female grotesque through the reorientation and viscerality of the flesh using themes of sensuality and eroticism.
