Architecture has been described as a social art as well as an artful science since it calls upon an expertise in both fields. This is why the final product is most often appreciated as a whole, but I wanted to take this appreciation to a macro-level. After an architect has employed and considered all the requirements of a successful structure, an array of patterns and textures arise. These designs paired with the city have a way of collaging shape, colour, and line into abstract compositions. Architextures was made to showcase the remarkable dynamic between the city and it’s contents, and the many forms of art architecture can take when viewed from a new perspective.
