This abstract study of lines, light and symmetry was derived from warm afternoon light pouring through the slats of an old Point Reyes, California barn. I created the image using intentional movement of my zoom lens, resulting in the illusion of light being pulled in. The use of a tripod ensured a symmetrical result. The contrasting colors of the top and bottom halves add interest to the composition: the sky’s blue light dominates the top, while golden hues from the pasture dominate the bottom.
