Capturing the essence of the remarkable Milwaukee Art Museum's atrium is the dream of any architectural photographer. I am fascinated by the geometries, reflections and patterns created by my fellow country man Santiago Calatrava in what resembles a contemporary Gothic cathedral. One of the important elements in rendering interior work is to capture the spirit of the building, its meaning, its soul, its reason to be: whether it is by highlighting the spatial reference by means of a lonely figure overlooking Lake Michigan, or by capturing that magical moment of a couple getting engaged and being able to record that moment that will stay with them forever. My panel aspires to convey the sense of openness, cleanliness and serenity that this wonderful atrium projects. Without a doubt an inspiring piece of contemporary architecture. I do hope that you enjoy this series as much as I did enjoy shooting it.
