Monogatari, a new series photographed in Tokyo and Kyoto considers animal life and Japanese cultural heritage. The Photographs reference the gorgeous golden screens painted by the famous Kano school of painters. Knorr inspired by Japanese art has produced a series of photographs of Japanese animals appear in temples and shrines referencing folktales of the supernatural . These temples throughout Kyoto are celebrated in 11 the century Tale of Genji, the first modern novel written by Murasaki Shikibu .
