|About the Artist:
Larry K. Snider is a photographer who has been taking photographs around the world for the last 30 years. He has had numerous exhibits of his photographs, which are also in the permanent collections of over 30 museums including the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Fine Arts (Houston) and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Prior to 2004, Larry was a partner in the international law firm of Mayer Brown, LLP (Chicago), a member of the honorary American College of Bankruptcy, the National Bankruptcy Conference and the author or co-author of over 30 articles dealing with commercial law. He has two grown daughters and lives with his wife Maxine, a noted furniture designer and manufacturer in Chicago. A monograph of his photos from China, Tibet, Bhutan, and Ladakh, entitled A World Away was published in 2001. He also recently published Pie Town: 70 Years after Russell Lee, where he collaborated with Paul Hendrickson, a New York Times best selling author who wrote an article about Pie Town for the Smithsonian Magazine.
