Daben City is an unfinished building complex in Zakho in Iraqi Kurdistan close to the Turkish border. Since last August it served as a refuge for up to 7000 Yazidi IDPs (internally displaced persons). After a construction stop of more than ten months the work needs to be continued and all remaining families are to be relocated into a newly built refugee camp. Beside the immense heat in the summer, their greatest worry is the fact that newly built Sheikhan camp is located less than 50 km from ISIS stronghold Mosul. May 2015
