This series is an analysis of the human perception of gender and how we are programmed from a young age to distinguish between male and female; primarily through the way we present ourselves. This series aims to defy social norms of gender and highlight the benefits of androgyny in modern culture. The blocks of colour represent a psychological and physical conflict between masculinity and femininity. The imbalance of colour signifies a battle for internal equilibrium between sexes. The pillars and blocks of colour also serve as a reference to fashion, a place where androgyny is widely accepted and celebrated.
