The concept for Red began with Jo Phillips, the creative director of Cent magazine. To achieve stronger shadows, yet keep a natural skin texture, I forwent the traditional beauty light and opted to photograph the model using a still life light.Along with the repetitive patterns of the accessories, the enable the graphic nature of the final image.
