I immediately knew Aji would be an excellent model for my shoot as soon as I saw him alighting from his boat. My guide spoke with him and he graciously agreed to be photographed. After taking a few images of him on the lake, we decided to move the shoot to his shack near the banks of Tamblingan Lake. This tiny shack partly submerged in muddy waters used to be his home but he had to relocate his family to another area due to the flood, returning to it every morning just to sort out his catch.
