Mohamed, the grandfather with unknown age, part of the documentary The time after the rain. Mohamed Dih visits Boujdour Saharawi refugee camp after spending his teenage years at Seville. After a sudden flood destroys his house, he decides to stay for longer to reconstruct it, to take care of his blind grandfather, and to meet his two-year-old nephew. However, the passing of time and the hostile landscape gradually consumes the three characters – the grandfather loses his will to leave his jaima tent, and Mohamed’s life projects gradually end up being forgotten. Wind moves the jaima ropes where the grandfather sleeps. Mohamed Dih makes tea in silence, and little Mohamed runs through the desert – every time further away from their wrecked house. These three generations allow us to go on a mirrored trip which only leads to apathy.
