Alan Hill, a 69-year-old semiretired auto-body worker, is now living alone for 9 years in the old, abondoned Packhard plant in Detroit. The ruins of the former car production plant are a symbol for Detroit´s decline He is the only man who is staying in this huge lawless wasteland of approx. 35 acres. On weekends the former alcoholic runs a busservice for the homeless to the church in the neighbourhood.
