They're in the shed,
Freezing cold, damp i open
The shed door,
Somewhere here lie my
Mud soaked boots.
Bending down to search
Amongst garden rubbish
A large pile of potato sacks suddenly moves!
I take a frightened step
Backwards,it starts to talk,"Don't tell Your MOM"
Shock fear am i dreaming?thoughts stream through my head
Sacks dislodge,a face
Appears,unshaven,gaunt
Tramp-like,unkempt,
It's Dad.....
this was to change my life for many years to come.
"He Sits and Stares"
He sits and stares,
Eyes wide emotionless,
Grey skin,bloodless,
No voice,no connection,
What fears,what
Annihilation.
He sits and stares.
He's just been zapped!
Take away a dad,
Bring home a carcass,
He sits and stares.
Two white coats sat him
Here,their cooking done!
Leaving mom with what?

These men struck fear Into my life,
Aged nine or maybe ten,
They wrecked my childhood.
Mom in tears,penniless,
We hide,i'm told to keep
Quiet.
The door repeatedly rapped,eyes searching
Through the window,
Me hiding behind the sofa.
Depending on the severity,one of these men wold appear,
To try to get their money owed!.Heavily in
Debt,unhappy,worried,
We'd go from day to day.
