In this series of work, Dovydas explores the synthetic luminescence that surrounds us within the urban landscape in our everyday lives. By placing artificial light in a natural setting, he disaffiliates it from it's familiar context as a functional necessity to have us consider the symbolic significance of light and colour. The juxtaposition of geometry amongst organic surroundings is suggestive of a gateway onto a future time when the synthetic glow of man-kind reaches areas previously unspoiled.
