This series was taken at a theme park I used to go to when I was a child. I was looking to capture that amazement and sense of the unreal that I experienced as a boy. It was even more nostalgic to see that the park had taken on a very retro aesthetic. It was looking to bring back the heights of British tourism of the 50' and 60's and had an aesthetic to match. It would be the high dive that really grabbed my attention though and the pure spectacle of it really brought back that feeling I had as a boy. This is when I began to capture a series of images that I felt would match the almost surreal quality and sense of wonderment that I remembered.
