This was shot on Isla Mujeres in Mexico, while I was supposed to be on vacation. I had brought some equipment down with me from NYC just in case I grew got bored. The reason for the trip was to disconnect from the city and get certified in scuba diving, which is something I’ve always wanted to do. When I went to the dive shop the first day I met the owner of the shop and master diver, Jim Silver. I knew he'd be perfect for the shoot. A week later I bought a suit in Cancun, and the next day we’re in the water shooting at dawn. It was a little tricky because I had never done a shot in the water like this. I did not use a water housing or waterproof strobes.
