Israel is a small country, known mostly for its holy places. However, it also offers a vast variety of landscapes. From the desolate Negev desert in the south, through forested mountains around Jerusalem, the Mediterranean coast to the west, to the mountains of the north – the tallest of which even get to see snow in the winter. While the landscape might not be as extreme as in other places around the globe, I found the contrast between these types of landscapes - being concentrated in such a small area – simply astounding. In my images, I strive to show the beauty of the land in its finest timing. Catching it in a particular weather, or time of year - sometimes might even take several years to accomplish. This series represents 5 significant landscape areas: the Mountains around Jerusalem, the Mediterranean Coast, the Negev Desert, the Carmel hills, and the Galilee.
