Qatar, like many other Middle East countries, is going through a period of rapid urbanisation. New cities of dazzling buildings and epic planning are being built as arenas for consumerism, finance and cultural showcasing. Monumental in scale, The National Museum of Qatar is a key example of the epic urban statement that these cities use to put themselves on the global map. Not yet complete, it’s captured here unpolished and exposed. A bare structure of ambition, extravagance & innovation carving its own space into the city backdrop.
