I captured this Great Blue Heron at the Cocoa Beach Pier. I initially set out to take pictures of the pier itself since it was extremely popular and all but as I got down into the position I wanted to shoot the pier during sunrise, this "bird" was standing in the way of the perfect shot. It stood strong and proud, glancing in my direction from time to time as to hint at me to take a shot or two. I finally got the hint and took a photo or two of the "bird". I didn't know at the time that this would be one of my best shots. What a magnificent bird it is.
