High up in the interior mountains of British Columbia, winter snow depth sometimes exceeds 10ft. It takes until July for the alpine to clear of snow and then for a few brief weeks, wildflowers bloom. Walking on this ridge above Slocan Lake in Southeastern BC, the dance between life and death is clear to see. For me this image speaks of the tenacity of life, whatever our circumstances may be...
