After the traditional parades that take place in the early morning, people celebrate in Paseo de Martì drinking, dancing, eating "puerco asado en pua" (pork cooked on a pole) and letting their children enjoy old fashioned carousels. Given the poor economic conditions in which Cuban people live, they are very excited at the opportunity to get beer as cheap as 3 Cuban Pesos for a soup mug (656ml), despite they admit the beer quality is ugly.
