Lake Khövsgöl in the north of Mongolia is located close to the siberian border. Also known as tge Little Baikal, it is frozen up to one meter a few months in the year and gives the possibility for the local people to use it as a road. Every year, the ice festival takes place in Mongolia on Khövsgöl Lake. Mondun, a Mongolian man living in Hatgal took me on his sledge across the lake to visit a holy mountain, from which I photographed him while he was waiting for me.
